Boulder Wellness Chiropractor Says Go To Sleep

Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

Sufficient sleep is an absolute key to wellness. Something that sound so simple yet many of us have challenges with. A lack of sleep is related to weight gain, diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular conditions and more. The Human body needs at least 7 hours of sleep a night.  Proper rest can help with a wide range of conditions including headaches, back pain, neck pain, depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia and more due to the reduction of inflammation

Here are some tips from boulder chiropractor, Daniel Knowles, of Network Family Wellness Center to get more shut eye.

1- Turn off the TV : after a full day of giving your best rest is the prime thing on your mind but usually not what you get to. Afterall you have a thousand cable channels, email, Facebook, Xbox and and i pad all calling for you. Don’t give in! TiVo you favorite shows and watch at another time. Value your health above all the other technology beckoning you

2- Take a nap: grabbing a nap whenever you can doesn’t take away from you sleeping later it helps. When you are overtired you are less likely to enjoy sound sleep. A 20 minute nap or the restful equivalent time out will help you feel energized rather than reaching for sugar or caffeine stimulants that will effect your sleep cycle

3- Stay away from the fridge: I am not talking all day, just before bed. Give your body 2 hours to digest your last meal of the day so when its time for bed your body can focus on falling asleep not digesting food. It will help you reach REM sleep. So avoid particularly refined carbohydrate foods as well as anything heavy, greasy, or spicy.

4- Hydrate, but not at night: you must get proper hydration however filling up on high quality H2O before bed will wake you up during the night. That interrupted sleep will effect getting enough rest

Get some sleep you need it!

Boulder Chiropractor shares How To Have More Energy

Sunday, May 22nd, 2011

Regardless of how young or old you are; no matter how busy your daily schedule is; it’s not within the original design and purpose of your body to constantly feel tired, run down or lethargic.

There are six different things you can do right now to tap into the wellspring of energy lying dormant in your body. You don’t have to master all six things, but try one or two of them to start. Over time, each of the practices that you add to your lifestyle will have a compounded healthy affect on your life, your level of wellness and your overall productivity.

ONE: Improve Your Diet (it’s easier than you think)
Avoid all foods that require only a minute or two to prepare (this includes fast foods), or foods that come ready to eat out of a bag or box. More often than not, these types of foods are loaded with harmful chemicals, Trans fat and high levels of sugar. Improve your diet—and enhance your energy level—by simply eating foods that take time to prepare.

Make meals and snacks that use fresh vegetables, fruits and unprocessed meats. You’ll be blessing your body with life-giving foods that improve health and yield higher levels of energy.

Remember, the key to improving your diet is to “take time” to eat healthier. If it takes you only a minute or two to make it, you probably don’t want to eat it.

TWO: Exercise More Regularly
This needs no explanation; simply decide today to add more physical activity to your lifestyle.

THREE: See Your Chiropractor
Misalignments in your spine can short circuit connections for brain-to-body activity, and therefore cause health problems, bodily discomfort and lack of energy. By simply making Chiropractic adjustments a part of your lifestyle you’ll be able to maintain a healthy spine, allow your body to naturally heal itself from sickness, plus you’ll find that your energy levels have increased.

FOUR: Sleep More
Each of us needs 7 to 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep each day. If we don’t get it, our health and wellbeing will suffer. It’s vital to make time in our schedules to get the rest we need.

To help maximize the quality of your sleep, invest in the best mattress you can afford. Also, choose a pillow that is high enough to take up the space from your ear to the outside edge of your shoulder.

FIVE: Lose Weight
Having too much weight on your body, around your heart or around your waist will always cause you to feel tired. Even ten pounds of extra weight will steal energy from you.

Don’t make excuses; there are many weight loss plans that work. Pick one and follow it step-by-step and you’ll lose weight. Or do it the old fashioned way—eat less and exercise more. Once the pounds come off and your energy level sky rockets, you’ll be so glad you made the effort.

SIX: Learn To Say No
This may be the most powerful thing you can do to maximize your energy and health. As busy Americans, we need to say no to some things and learn to enjoy a simpler, less hectic lifestyle.

You will be offered many opportunities in life. If you say yes because you feel pressured to say yes, or you feel guilty to say no, you’ll end up with nothing but higher levels of stress and lower levels of energy. Learn to say no.

How a Boulder Chiropractor Alleviates Headaches Naturally with Chiropractic

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

Headaches Are Alleviated Naturally By Boulder Chiropractor

Headaches are a seemingly never ending source of extreme grief for millions of people every day. There are many kinds of headaches and just as many different causes. Likewise, there are numerous remedies for these maladies, mainly in the form of drugs. However, these only treat the symptoms and not the root of the problem. Network Family Wellness Centers suggest you consult with a Boulder chiropractor for more insight about treating the causes behind the problem.

Headache medicines can offer only temporary relief and can have many dangerous side effects, of course, that can be as bad or worse than the headache itself. Everything imaginable, from simple vitamin and nutrition deficiencies to extreme stomach and kidney ailments, can result from reactions to headache remedies. Unfortunately, as the pain persists, so does the parade of pills required to suppress it.

Even with the risks involved, only the symptom has been treated while the cause remains a mystery. Chiropractic care, however, involves seeking out the source of the affliction and therefore achieving an actual form of prevention by treating the underlying ailments.

In many cases, extremely minor disruptions in other parts of the body are the hidden culprits behind major circulatory issues in the head.

Most headaches are determined to be vascular in nature, particularly those that are the most severe. Muscle difficulties, joint troubles and other irregularities can impede blood flow to result in that dreaded splitting headache. By locating and treating these true causes, headaches can become a thing of the past for many sufferers.

You owe it to yourself to examine the possibility that there could be a cure for your nagging pain, once and for all. Call or visit a Boulder chiropractor at Network Family Wellness Centers for a consultation to find out about the relief you deserve.

Boulder Chiropractor Can Give You Natural Headache Relief

Headaches have a way of making millions of people miserable every day. There is an astounding array of varieties of headaches and they are caused by as many different problems. Remedies are readily available, mostly in the form of drugs, but these treat just the symptoms and are not truly “cures” for the malady. You can get a greater understanding of the problem from a Boulder chiropractor at Network Family Wellness Centers.

Temporary forms of relief can usually be found with drugs, of course, but side effects can be dangerous and long lasting. People have frequently experienced vitamin and nutritional deficiencies, as well as even more severe damage like organ failure, from bad reactions to popular headache cures. At the very least, the medicines themselves become an unwanted, but seemingly necessary part of your daily life as you struggle to make the pain go away.

The risks can often be out of line with the treatment, especially when you consider that the true cause of the problem remains behind to return another day. Unlike medicinal approaches, underlying ailments are sought out through chiropractic techniques so that prevention can be achieved in the majority of cases.

Issues in the circulatory systems throughout the body can manifest themselves in the sensitive vessels in the head.

Vascular headaches are the most common and can of a severe nature. Anything from joint trouble to muscle difficulties can restrict blood flow and develop into that excruciating pain we call a headache. Properly applying treatment to the root cause is the key to ending the cycle of suffering acute and chronic head pain misery.

It’s about time you examined your options for a permanent end to the splitting head pain that’s been disrupting your life. A Boulder chiropractor at Network Family Wellness Centers might have the solution you need to return to a normal, pain free life.

Boulder Chiropractor Has Headache Alternative

Every day, there are millions who suffer from the agony of headaches. There are a great many causes that create a wide variety of types of headaches. The symptoms of these maladies can be treated with numerous kinds of drugs. However, this does not address the causes behind the problem. You owe it to yourself to consult a Boulder chiropractor at Network Family Wellness Centers to investigate the source of your problem.

Relief can be found with drugs, of course, but side effect risks can produce acute and chronic damage. Every year, people suffer from severe reactions to common headache treatments that can result in serious nutritional or vitamin deficiencies and chronic organ failure is often reported. Millions more find that medicine becomes an unwanted fixture in their daily routine and never offers the lasting relief people long for.

In light of the fact that the original source of the problem still remains to return again at any time, the risks can be inordinate for such a temporary solution. The chiropractic approach involves seeking the root of the ailment in order to prevent its eventual re-occurrence.

Blood vessels in the head can be extremely sensitive to hidden circulatory restrictions and pressures elsewhere in the body.

Headaches that are most severe are also most generally vascular in nature. Many irregularities, such as joint trouble or muscle problems can restrict the proper flow of blood to the brain, resulting in painful headaches. Discovering the root of such activity in the body can be the secret to ending head pain, sometimes permanently.

Why not explore the possibility that a solution to your repeated splitting head pain could be as near as Network Family Wellness Centers? You deserve the chance to find out if a Boulder chiropractor may have the answer you have been searching for.
